Success Stories
The real-life impact of your kindness and support.
I have been involved with Phyllis and Judge and Rise Up Santa Fe since before they started working with The Life Link. They were collecting warm coats and hats for the homeless during a very cold winter.Â
They have supplied numerous clients of mine with true quality furniture and other necessary items to make my clients feel like they have "come home"! Their items give my clients reason to be proud of their new residence, which promotes long term success and incentive to maintain their housing.
I am truly grateful for their hard work!

Housing someone who has experienced homelessness is not the end of the journey, its the beginning of a new chapter! As Case Manager at The Life Link, I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they transition from living in cars, shelters, and on the streets, to stepping into a place they can finally call home.Â
But, after the keys are handed over the real work begins.
Many of our clients have never had a space that felt truly theirs. The adjustment to four walls and a roof can be overwhelming! That's why the work of Phyllis and Judge, (affectionately known by many as "Angels walking Earth") is so vital. They don't just provide beds. They furnish entire homes, down to the smallest details, transforming empty spaces into warm welcoming sanctuaries. The joy on our clients' faces is indescribable. It is a moment of healing, of hope and of dignity restored.
This is what community looks like! It is all of us coming together: case managers, volunteers, advocates, and everyday heroes like Phyllis and Judge, to ensure that housing is not just about shelter, but about belonging.

I didn't have a bed. I did not have even a hanger. The bed they brought me was wonderful! Talk about sleeping like a baby - I'm a baby sleeper now.
These people are over the moon! I didn't know people like them existed!

Working with Phyllis and Judge has been a resounding success! Rise Up Santa Fe provides a warm "Welcome Home" and joy to those in need. These individuals are pillars in our community.Â
Our community desperately needed this and I hope Rise Up Santa Fe continues to thrive and offer more opportunities for our unhoused community to enjoy their homes without the pressure of finding the income to furnish them.
Thank you Phyllis and Judge and all who work or donate to make this possible!

These people are incredible. Our family had a series of tragedies, and I landed up in a shelter with my three grandchildren.Â
When I got our apartment, I did not have a stick of furniture. They came with 2 trucks and furnished our 3 bedroom apartment!
They even brough a bicycle for the youngest.
